I recently purchased Uni-Kit 4 Color Inkjet Refill Kit for my Canon Pixma MP620 that arrived today. I tried refilling the black cartridge and I'm having a very hard time. I followed the instruction but the ink does not stay in the cartridge. As soon as I fiil it, it starts dripping out from the outlet port until the cartridge is empty again. I have already tried refilling it three times.
Please let me know what I'm doing wrong. |

Hello,
The trick is to create a vacuum in the cartridge before drilling the hole. Once the hole has been drilled and the ink injected into the cartridge, make sure to seal it air tight before removing the tape that created the vacuum. If ink pours out then the vacuum wasn't created tightly. If this occurs, lay the cartridge on it's side and wait for it to stop dripping. Wipe the areas dry where the ink leaked. Seal up the vents on the top then slightly squeeze the sides when you seal the outlet hole. Then you can reseal the filling hole. Wait a few minutes then remove the other seals. Tape dots are not necessary. I use electrical tape.

Leaking ink from the outlet port is usually caused by not having the fill hole properly sealed. When you refill ink you'll notice that ink drips out of the cart, when the fill hole is left open and the ink outlet port is not sealed. this is actually a good sign as you know that the cart is not blocked with dried ink and it will probably feed OK when installed in the printer.
let the cart drip from the ink outlet port until it totally stops dripping, blot the outlet port on a piece of paper toweling on a flat surface so as not to blot the outlet port filter, install and print properly.

| I print a lot & I don't refill. If you've got an inkjet printer and you’re brainstorming how to save on the monstrous cartridge expenses, it is worth considering CISS (continuous ink supply). You do not need to buy cartridges every time the ink ends up, your printer will print 15 times longer before you need to refill. Refilling ink kits are available |
