Have a Canon Pixma ip4000. Have had it for about 2yrs. Now it is printing way too much green. All the cartridges are full. The Geek Squad at Best Buy told me I probably blew my printheads because I used internet ink.
Any ideas? I used the head cleaning option on the printer, says it's okay.
Thanks for your help.

Hello,
With these printers, 2 years is about how long a printhead will last. That is why Canon sells the printhead separate and makes it removable. It probably would have gone bad even if you used Canon's ink. Keep a set of cleaner cartridges on hand and run that once a month. Also, letting this printer sit for more than two days without use and keeping the cartridges in it will actaully harm the printhead. The ink will begin to clog the printhead.

| CISS (continuous ink supply system) conversely prolongs the life of your printer because you do not remove the cartridges from the printer to fill or insert a new set and print head does not dry |
