| I am responsible to purchase toner for a printer attached to a microfilm reader at my library. The reader was made by the Anacomp Company. It is a Datagraphix brand Datamate 1000. For years we have not had to purchase toner because our original supply was holding up, but we have used our last refill now and find the company is no longer in business. It prints only in black. The toner came in 16 gram bottles. The only information on the bottles is that is is Negative toner and one of the ingredients is carbon black. It is made to simply refill over and over and does not have a replaceable cartridge. When I look online to buy bulk toner they want to know what brand machine and what model, as if there is a vast difference in different toners. Is this the case or is there a generic toner that will work in my machine? Any help would be appreciated. Also, where is the best place to buy good bulk toner at a reasonable price? |

| All toner is made differently in both formula and density. So in order to find a compatible toner for the printer, its always best to provide the printer's make and model. Unfortunately, there is no generic brand that will work on any and all models. |
