|

If you install a NON-HP supplies item into your printer there is a work around for this error message.
In order to print with this supply, you must press(Cancel Job) the first time you install this non hp-supply. The status lights will not indicate when this supply is low or empty.
How to access the disable cartridge check function steps:
1.Press the green "Select " key (the one with a "Check Mark" symbol next to it) to activate the menus. Then use the up and or down arrow keys to scroll to the diagnostics menu. enter this menu with the "Select" key, then scroll to "Disable Cartridge Check" and select it. Now the printer will not check the cartridges at all, and you can run the printer with one or more cartridges missing or swapped (or even with none of the cartridges installed), and it wilol not display the error.
NOTE* you need to select "Disable Cartridge Check" before removing or swapping any cartridges. Also, the cartridge check is only disabled as long as you remain in diagnostic mode (to exit Diagnostic mode, press "Cancel Job" and then select "Exit", or just cycle the power). You can enter other menus, Print test pages, etc. while still in diagnostic mode |
