Refilling Laserjet 1100 92A printing darkness issue

Hello,

I have purchased a refill kit for my HP Laserjet 1100 92A cartridge. I was able to take the cartridge apart by pressing the two outside pins essentially splitting the cartridge in two pieces and then removing the cover on the toner side of cartridge. I refilled it with the 140 grams of toner in the bottle, attached everything and then sifted the to make sure the toner was level.

Now here is my issue. When I tried to print everything looked ok until I looked carefully at the font and found it to be a bit light. So I printed a black page and found that on the left side it is lighter than the right side. I also noticed that the toner isn't as dark as the original HP. Is this a problem with the toner or did I do something wrong? I refilled two cartridges and have the same problem on both of them.

Hello,

About how many pages were printed? This usually happens when the cartridge adjust to a new cartridge. However, how light are the prints from one end?

If after about 30 prints you don't notice a difference, then their might be a problem with the cartridge (normal wear and tear).

Another question, when the cartridge was split apart, was anything else inside the cartridge touched or maybe leaned on? Its pretty odd that both cartridges have the same problem on the same side of the cartridge. So I'm not sure if this was something that could have happened when the cartridge was split in two.
