The shelf life of an unopened bottle is approximately 3 years. Once a bottle has been opened, the shelf life is only about 1 year. In order to achieve this optimal shelf life, the ink should be stored in an airtight container and not exposed to direct sunlight or any type of UV light.
Dipping a printhead in hot water is suggested only in emergencies. I would not recommend that more than once. A better way of keeping a printhead in proper working order is to use cartridge and printhead cleaner found at www.inkfilling.com |
