OK folks, for new CLP510 Samsung it is necessary to REPLACE the smartchips for a successful refill. You need a solder iron to do this, chip replacement instructions are available from Uni-Kit.
At most Uni-Kit retailers the smartchips are coming standard together with the toner refills, at others the chips are sold separately.
Here are some troubleshooting tips:If the printer gives you an error message after you have installed the chip like “incorrect toner” or “invalid toner” or any other error message, then you need to SWITCH OFF the printer, wait a few seconds, then switch it back ON and hold down the MENU button while you are powering it back on.
If your printer will only allow you to print in black only mode, then go to your printer settings, click on PROPERTIES and then restore to printer defaults. _________________ InkGuy

I installed the chips as directed and everything worked fine last night and this morning. Then this afternoon, the printer stopped printing in the middle of a job and stated "Replace Magenta, Replace Cyan, Replace Black, Replace Yellow." I then followed the instructions to turn the printer off and to press and hold the MENU button while powering back up. Now the printer just sits there flashing its green light saying "Processing." HELP!!!!!!!! |

| The 510 chip has been installed correctly. It reset itself (with some difficulties) the first time and now that the cartridge has been refilled and put in back in the Samsung a second time, it comes up with a message of Black Toner Empty. The cartridge is FULL!!! I tried the trick of turning the printer off and leaving it off overnight (actually it has been off for the last 33 hours) and pressing and holding the MENU button while turning the power back on. DOES NOT WORK! I have repeated the process multiple times. STILL DOES NOT WORK. I have taken the cartridge out, put it back in, and repeated the process. AGAIN, STILL DOES NOT WORK. I am in a desperate state here as I use this printer to work from home and cannot turn in my work without being able to print it first. HELP ME PLEASE! |
