I've had great success in refilling the toner cartridges so far, with the new chip installed as well. However, all of the sudden when I refill the black cartridge the printer is still telling me to replace the black cartridge. It was working just fine until now. I've tried different amounts of refill toner in the cartridge, thinking maybe I under/over-filled but to no avail. I even tried a second empty cartridge thinking that maybe the first empty was damaged somehow. I'm out of ideas at this point and really need to get this thing up and running. Any ideas?

Hi, you need new chips. The chips are only good for one refill, after that you need a new chip otherwise the printer will think the cartridge is still full.

I appreciate the help...only thing is that the printer thinks the cartridge is still empty no matter what I do.

Your best option would be to buy new chips. Maybe your printer has override feature that will let you continue printing.. check your menu under supplies, you might have that option but you will not know how much tonner your cartridge will have.. it will always show 0 left.

The chips are a supply memory only. This means that when the predetermined number of prints is soon reached it sends a signal to the printer, which in turn tells the computer that the cartridge needs replacing.
When a new or refilled cartridge is installed in the printer, the sensors located on the cartridge that connect with the printer measures the amount of toner in the cartridge. If the level of toner is lower than the predetermined amount that the printer is accustomed to then it will record the amount of toner that is determined to be in the cartridge.
So in other words, if a cartridge is filled to 50% and is installed in the printer, the sensor will measure the toner at 50% and that’s the amount recorded on the chip.
Please make sure that the cartridge is filled to maximum so that when the printer performs the measuring of toner it will record the level of toner as maximum on the chip. This will eliminate any error messages or toner low messages.
We have also found that some customers are testing the chip by placing the cartridge into the printer before filling which of course is recoridng empty toner levels since the sensor was unable to detect any toner in the cartridge. |

The toner cartridges play a major role in increasing the life of your printer and make sure it was faced with minimal damage. With a growing industry, paper and ink are also taken as a fundamental resource for any organization. In today's world is more interdependent ink to printers relatively pen. This is where the need for reliable quality and superior greatest. toner cartridge can increase the lifespan of your printer. The toner transferred to paper via a drum electrostatic-ally charged and melted on the heated rolls of paper during printing.
