Hi Terry! Unfortunately, Lexmark has made it hard for all of us to refill the X models. The printer locks you out and seems to remember the serial of the cartridge. It also seems as though this printer submits the information back to Lexmark to place the used serial into a bin of serial numbers kept by Lexmark.
So the serial will be recognized by another printer by checking the Lexmark database. At this time, there is no way to work around this situation at all. Hopefully something comes up soon, if so, keep posted. |

| There is actually no solution available anywhere at this time. Unfortunately, the programming in these new printers is very sophisticated. I do recommend you check here for updates, in case anything new does happen to surface. |

Hi,
You need to be using the "A" version cartridges in order to be able to refill them. (36A,37A) Most retailers do not sell them. In North America they are available through Best Buy and Island Ink-Jet.
Filling is a simple process, injection by syringe, but they will still read as empty going forward. |
