When the Lexmark black cartridge is completely run out of ink it takes an extra amount of ink to get it primed and working again.
Fix - Add up to 10 mls. of additional ink and try printing again. |

| i always have the same issue with the lex 16, and it's my expereance that if you fill the cartridge so it ways anymore then 32 cc totlal, it will not print anything untill it's primed down to around 32-30cc cartridge weight, if you put an extra the cartridge can not handle that much volume original lexmark 16 cartridges weigh in at 27cc, i will steam it as well and it will print for like 10-20 prints and it dyes down again, i think it's an issue with the actuall jets, if the person emptys the cartridge compleatly dry while printing it will over heat that particular printhead, and it in turn becumes usless. best to leave about 10% in the cart. before refilling, in most cases this is good practice to do in any refilling. |
