This printer, C309g-m, will not allow refills in the printer, nothing works correctly, streaks and missing colors. As soon as you replace refills with hp product everything works perfectly. I chatted online with hp help and they took me through an extensive clean-up of printhead and were going to send me a new printhead until they realized I was using refills. They will not honor warranty unless hp product is used. Even with a new printhead, the printer would have failed to align and not recognize ink in the refills. Why is the company even selling refill kits for this printer? _________________ D.O. |

| You may want to check how the cartridges were sealed after the refill. This can have to do a lot on how the cartridge outputs ink. If the seal is to tight, it may let only a small amount or no ink out of the cartridge. |

I tried tight seals, loose seals, no seals, everything. The problem is the printer will not align the printheads because there are refills in the machine. It was designed that way so we have to buy HP ink cartridges. Rip off!! _________________ D.O. |

It is important to know the cause of the error and the troublemaker is air. Usually this type of problem is caused by refilled ink cartridges but it could happen with any type that has very little ink and the printer tries to reload it.

donna you can always use refills on any printer , plus under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975, it is illegal for a manufacturer to refuse to honor a warranty when a consumer uses a third-party consumable , so they wouldn't sell printers with refill detecting technology , try and get advice from your local store , maybe there's something you missed
