First the black went dead, now the yellow too!
I purchased print head cleaners for each color, but they don't seem to have done much. How can I tell if they are doing anything?
Are there alternative ways to clean the print heads inside the machine?
thanks,

hello,
do you have the printhead cleaner? just dripping it into the printhead should solubize any dried ink.

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean. I have the cartridges that are loaded with cleaning solution instead of ink. I've used them on both of the non-functioning colors and they have made no difference, I still get nothing when printing from those colors.
Is there a different item called a print head cleaner? Is it a special solution? Are there different types? Where do I get it?
Thanks,

hello,
yes there is a solution that is different than the cleaning solution in the cartridge which should be sold at the same place where you purchased the cleaning cartridges. but if the heads haven't cleared at all using the cleaning cartridges then i really think the heads are ruined.

| Yep, that's kind of what I thought too. Heads are toast. I'm buying another printer! |

yeah Epson is great for color printing but not when it comes to repairs they don't give the customer any options. Canon is another good one and they have removable printheads too for easy replacements.

| You could avoid having colors running out if you attach CISS to your Epson. Huge attached color & black ink volumes which enable to print thousands of pages before needing to refill. See inksystem.com to start |

There is a possibility that you have problems with the loop or smth. Better go to service center.
By the way, do you have original cartridges or CISS? |
