HELP - I'm can't get the plug into the cartridge after refilling. This is for a #29 (51629) Black Cartridge for a HP DeskJet 495C. The Premium Inkjet Kit came with 3 black plugs and a pusher. After drilling the hole for refilling, and refilling the cartridge, I've tried to insert the plug over & over with no luck.
What am I doing wrong? I put the cartridge into a vice to hold it and squeeze the sides (as instructed) - No luck and the squeezing forced out the ink from the taped aerator hole at the bottom.
Are the plugs the right size? I see that the instructions are for several HP cartridges including 51629A, 51629G, but the 51629 is not shown. |

If you created the hole, refilled it, then plugged it up, the pressure of pushing the plug in causes ink to flow out a bit. This should however stablize once the plug has been set in place for about 2 min.
If the plug is not staying in place, but fits properly, then use tape to hold i down. We recommend duct tape. |

| Junior - I created the hole by using the drill bit; then filled the cartridge, but could not get the plug into the hole that was drilled. The plug seemed too large for the opening....I tried every which way to get that sucker into the hole - with no luck....I finally gave up and asked for help. |

| If the drilled hole is to small, try using a screw to increase the size so that the small end of the plug fits perfectly inside (or slightly more than the small end). |
