If there is a consistent streak from top to bottom, thats a sign of the drum in the printer being worn out. The drum is either in your cartridge, or a separate drum unit.

these cannot be reset at this time, these are new chips from epson. uni-kit is working on compatible chips for these, due for launch soon but not yet available.

if its minolta 2400, theres a chip on the cartridge that needs to be replaced in order for printer to see it.
try removing and reinstalling the chip to make sure its making good contact.
