| Hi, I purchased a chip+toner kit to refill the black in my 6130/N. I followed the directions and then reinserted the cartridge but the printer now refuses to print, giving the message "Invalid Black". I assume this points to a problem with the chip. So, does this mean I received a bad chip, or that I received the wrong chip altogether? The kit is also for a Dell printer, so now I'm wondering if the chip was specific to that Dell model but doesn't work in the Xerox version of it? Any help would be appreciated... |

Hello,
It may be a defective chip but make sure that the contacts are matching up correctly, even the slightest shift can cause an error message.
If that doesn't fix it then contact the place of purchase for a replacement.
