Hi, i have the new 2600n and was wondering if it's possible to refill and change the chip?
The cartridges my printer uses are Q6000A, Q6001A, Q6002A, and Q6003A.
Thanks... |

Hello,
We have not located a reliable source for the chips yet. |

| What about if i refill using the 2500 series tonner and not use a new chip? I estimate that i will not reach 2000 pages print limit. I will probably have only printed 1000 pages when i run out of ink. If i refill the 2600 cartridges can i still print? I don't mind if i have to keep telling the printer to print even though i've ran out of ink. I never print large jobs, only 1 or 2 pages at a time. |

You can override the printer and keep printing even well beyond when the printer shows "zero" prints left. I have printed nearly 13,000 on one set of cartridges- the printer said I ran out of toner at about 5,000! The printer does not measure the remaining toner, but it estimates based on number of prints (notice how all the colors deplete at the same rate).
The instructions to do this are in the manual- there is no special trick, you just have to follow the directions. |

Wow 13,000 pages, thats awsome. What toner do you use? I heard the 2600 uses special toner. |

Ask your reseller website for a refill kit for HP 2600, it is now available with chips. _________________ InkGuy

Hi was just wondering how many printers claim to need 'special toner'. Is this just a way of frightening people away from remanufactured toner?
I would realy apprecialte your opinion as i am currently developing a website selling only remanufatcured toner. I dont want to misssell anything for legal reasons.
Many thank, Wayne. _________________ Cheap Remanufactured laser printer toners! @ www.everypage.couk! |

| What do you mean by special toner? The OEM Manufactures consider their toner to be special, but it is, as you mentioned all fancy talk. Compatible toner works just as well, as long as the cartridge is well maintained. Same with ink. |
