It is important to know which printers have printheads IN THE PRINTER and which cartridges have printeads ON THE CARTRIDGE.
This is important to know because the most common issue with inkjet printing quality is related to CLOGGED PRINTHEADS. Clogged printheads will manifest by showing streaks on the page, fainted prints, some colors not coming out properly, etc.
Printers that have printheads in the printer and are exhibiting signs of printhead clog, need to have the "print head cleaning cycle" run on the printer (sometimes more than once). It is usually NOT an issue with the cartridge.
The times when the issue is with the cartridge, are in the cases where the printheads are ON the cartridge. You can try unclog the printheads on the cartridge by soaking them in hot water or our printhead cleaning solution, or by blotching the heads on a moist paper towel (moistened with alcohol or hot water).
So, when do you find printheads in the printer?
Printheads are in the printer on ALL EPSON, ALL BROTHER and ALL KODAK printers.
Also on most Canon printers (except PG30 / CL31 PG40 / CL41 / PG50 / CL51 / PG220 / CL211).
And on the following HP cartridges: HP 02, HP 14, HP 564, HP 920.
So, when do you find printheads on the cartridge?
Printheads are in the printer on ALL DELL PRINTERS and ALMOST ALL LEXMARK PRINTERS (there are some new Lexmarks coming out soon with printheads in the printer).
Also on select Canon cartridges (PG30 / CL31 PG40 / CL41 / PG50 / CL51 / PG220 / CL211).
And on all HP cartridges with the exception of the HP 02, HP 14, HP 564, HP 920. |
