Kodak recently upgraded their firmware for new printers, the chips on Uni-Kit cartridges now work on the new firmware printer updates.
However, the new firmware might create conflicts between the Compatible chip and the OEM chip. The printers might not recognize Compatible chips when only ONLY Inkjet cartridge is replaced with a compatible cartridge (leaving 1 OEM cartridge in the printer). We strongly suggest to replace Both Black and Color Inkjet cartridges (install either BOTH compatible cartridges, or BOTH OEM cartridges - do not install 1 compatible and 1 OEM). That will allow the printers to recognize the compatible Inkjet cartridges correctly.
In the meantime, the chip R&D dept. is developing a new replacement chip that will allow 1 cartridges to be changed at a time. |

| Some Kodak inkjet printers may not recognize the compatible for Kodak inkjet cartridges. In such cases, the printer will prompt the user to install a new cartridge (even though a new cartridge has just been installed). In such cases, look at the chip on the cartridge and you will notice a black carbon stick. Break that stick off with a blade (be careful not to damage the chip), and reinsert the cartridge. |
