I have a Lexmark C510 printer that prints fine, except for the fact that it prints small coloured lines all over the sides of the printed page. The lines appear on exactly the same places on every page. What can be the cause of this?

hello,
Normally found on the right edge of the page. These are caused by a worn out drum. (Tire Tracks is a term for a vertical shaded area with lines in it that look like tire tread marks in sand. This normally happens to OEM drums).

| I don't think it's the drum. On the C510, every toner cartridge has it's own drum, right? The black toner has just been replaced (with a new original Lexmark toner) and the problem still looks the same. It was there before the toner exchange, and it's there after. |
