Hello,
this is actually a common problem. this can be found on lexmark's support section:
Cause
Print quality issues where toner is "dumping" or "leaking", or where images are repeating on a printed page, are usually caused by a missing or improperly positioned drum cleaner or drum cleaner cover. NOTE: This issue can also be caused by the fuser. For information on how to troubleshoot fuser-related issues, please click here.
Things to Try
1. Print the Menu Settings page to verify that one or more of your printer's consumable supplies are not low. Many print quality issues are caused simply by a supply item that is at or near the end of its expected functional yield.
o If necessary, please order and replace any supply items shown to be low on the menu settings page.
2. Verify that the media you are using is within specification for your printer. Using paper in your printer that is not supported, or using supported media in an unsupported input source, may adversely affect your print quality
3. Confirm that the operating environment is within acceptable ranges in terms of temperature and humidity. Operating your printer outside of these ranges can lead to inconsistent print output and possible damage to your printer.
4. If the print quality defect appears to be repeating on the page at a regular interval, refer to this chart to determine the cause of the issue.
5. If the items checked above are in order, reseat the cleaning roller and the cleaning roller cover. Incorrect placement of one or both of these items is the most likely cause of this issue.
NOTE: Contact Lexmark Technical Support immediately if the cleaning roller cover is missing.
6. If the issue persists, please contact Lexmark Technical Support. Before contacting Lexmark, please read the following:
o You should obtain the serial number of your printer before calling.
o Please print the Print Quality pages from your printer to assist the support agent with troubleshooting your print quality issue.
o If possible, try to contact Lexmark from near your printer in case the support agent asks you to perform a task involving the printer.
o It may be helpful to refer to your printer's internal Help Pages for additional information concerning the Lexmark C510.
