Hello All,
These chip’s board were made without the alignment pin’s hole. You need to cut the pin on the cartridge, place the chip and hold it in place with the screw only.
Regarding the chip issue for QMS 2400 / 2430 / 2450, our chips only have 1 hole on the left side of the chip - which is the hole that holds the screw. The screw tightens the chip against the cartridge.
SOME QMS 2400 / 2430 / 2450 cartridges have chips that have a SECOND hole in the chip, which is on the right hand side of the chip. This hole is not used for a screw, but instead it is there because some cartridges have a plastic protrusion that comes out of the cartridge and throught this hole. In order for our chip to fit on those particular cartridges, that plastic protrusion on the cartridge needs to be cut away with a knife (only about 1-2 mm) so that our chip can fit over that area without sticking out.
Our chips do NOT have a hole there, so the plastic protrusion below it needs to be shaved away so that the chip can sit OVER that area without sticking out.
thx
